Crackle didn’t always know that hands could be gentle.

When he first came to us, he was cautious watching, learning, deciding if it was safe to trust. And like so many of our residents, he took his time.

But once he understood he was safe… everything changed.

Crackle is one of the most affectionate little souls you will ever meet. He leans into touch. He seeks out laps. He loves being held and will happily stay there, soaking in every second of connection. He isn’t loud about his love he simply settles in close and chooses you.

Crackle is diabetic, which means he receives insulin twice a day and eats a special diet to keep his blood sugar stable. He handles his routine beautifully. Calm. Cooperative. Trusting. It has simply become part of his rhythm.

With consistent care and regular vet check-ins, diabetic cats can live happy, full lives and Crackle fully intends to do just that.

What he needs now is not perfection.

He needs someone steady.
Someone present.
Someone willing to love him intentionally.

A quieter home where he can bond deeply would be ideal. Experience with injectable medications is wonderful, but what matters most is compassion and a willingness to learn.

Crackle has done the brave part he opened his heart.

Now he’s waiting for someone to open theirs.
