A chance to slow down and see sanctuary life up close.
A visit to Ahimsa is not about rushing from animal to animal. It is a chance to walk through the sanctuary, learn about the residents who live here, and see what everyday sanctuary care actually looks like.
Depending on the day, you may meet some of our pigs, birds, rabbits, cats, and other residents while hearing more about their individual stories and the work that goes into giving them a safe place to call home.
Because Ahimsa is an active sanctuary and the residents' home, every visit may look a little different.

A few details before you request a visit.
No admission fee
There is currently no admission fee for sanctuary tours. Donations are appreciated if your visit leaves you wanting to help, but they are never required.

Tours are scheduled by request. Submitting the form does not guarantee the preferred date or time; someone from Ahimsa will contact you to coordinate.

Before you visit
The residents and their care always come first.
These simple expectations help keep visits comfortable for the animals and the people who care for them.
- Ahimsa is a working animal sanctuary, so tours may change with animal care needs, weather, emergencies, or conditions on the grounds.
- Some residents may not be available to visit on a particular day.
- Please follow sanctuary staff instructions around the animals, and keep children supervised by their accompanying adults.
- Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking around sanctuary grounds.
- All tours must be arranged in advance and confirmed by Ahimsa.

Photos and stories can share a small piece of life at Ahimsa. But there is something different about standing here, hearing the birds in the background, watching the pigs settle into the afternoon, or meeting one of the cats who has made this place home.
