WHY IT MATTERS

Sanctuary care is built from ordinary, useful work.

Volunteer Day helps Ahimsa catch up on the kinds of practical projects that make daily care smoother: cleaner spaces, safer walkways, organized supplies, refreshed animal areas, and small repairs that are easier with many hands.

You do not need to arrive with special skills. We will do our best to match people with manageable tasks, clear instructions, and work that fits the day. The goal is simple: help the sanctuary feel more cared for, one useful project at a time.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

A few projects we may work on together.

Coop & Run Cleaning

Help refresh bedding, tidy animal areas, and support the daily routines that keep residents comfortable.

Grounds Cleanup

Pitch in with weeding, raking, branch pickup, path clearing, and general outdoor cleanup.

Small Repairs

Support simple fix-it projects such as tightening hardware, touching up surfaces, or helping with safe setup.

Event Support

Assist with check-in, supplies, directions, cleanup, and friendly help for the flow of the day.

Animal Area Refresh

Help make resident spaces cleaner, calmer, and more comfortable through practical habitat support.

Supply Organization

Sort, label, stack, and organize donated or daily-use supplies so care work is easier after the event.
